What in the heck am I doing?! D:
One step at a time I suppose, but I have a few "baby step" ideas. For the last year, I've been very.. very focused on animation, and that's really about it. Simple characters that'll be easy to animate quickly has been the key idea. But that's not what I want, I want to get back into illustration like before. That's all I use to do, including full scale colored drawing, both digital and traditional. Now, I can barely figure out which brush to use when in Corel Painter, or which media to use when wanting to color traditionally.
The first step is to strengthen my sketching skills again. I tried to sketch tonight and just.. bleh. Best way I could put it. BLEH. In the back of my head, I keep thinking, "Oh, I have all these old sketches that would be great to color!" But I'm trying to hold off. I need to start sketching again, I need to start recording all my drawing ideas like before, and I need to start laying out those ideas, whether I like them or not. So, here's my goal.
Produce completely new sketches, ink them, and then lay down some color. My choice of coloring media for now will be markers, and work my way back up to full detail coloring like I use to do. One step at a time. No rushing, just enjoying it again.
I guess that's my ultimate goal. To once again love what I do.

But maybe I was dreaming? D:
